At TRA I Lisboa in November 2023, we demonstrated our concept with a LEGO model of Pipeville 2030, where a capsule-pipe system was installed as a utility. We also presented a paper on our feasibility study, which was later published as an article. The article reports the results of a market survey regarding potential service use cases at work and at home, willingness to pay, pain points, and reasons to buy the service. The proposed system is technically feasible by modifying the technology used in hospitals and banks. The cost-benefit analysis indicates that it is favourable for citizens, establishments and society. The most significant barrier identified is that decision-makers are not yet aware that capsule pipelines can be used for logistics services in cities.
